About the event
Rooibos MTB by TIP TRANS is a 1-day Mountain Biking event and it will take place on
Saturday 25 July 2026.
Rooibos MTB by Tip Trans returns to our rider’s favourite venue – DE TOL FARM DELI, which will host the Start & Finish venue.
The exciting addition to the 2026 event is that REGISTRATION on Friday 24 July 2026 will be hosted by the PIEKENIERSKLOOF MOUNTAIN RESORT.
Both venues are situated on the N7, Piekenierskloof Pass, Citrusdal.
The 2026 Rooibos MTB by TIP TRANS will host 4 challenging but rewarding route options –
125km, 80km, 55km and 30km.
The 125km route is a Gravel Bike registered event but MTB and E-bike riders are welcome to enter. See terms and conditions for this route.
The non-technical scenic routes pass over privately owned farms and will also include district roads.
All the routes are non-technical and are suitable for mountain-, gravel- and e-bikes.
Both the 125km and 80km are recommended for the experienced longer distance and fit riders.

FAQ
Will late entries be accepted?
The number of pre-entries will determine the acceptance of late entries. An announcement will be made 14days before the commencement of the event.
Can E-Bikes enter?
Yes, E-bikes are more than welcome to enter, but you will have your own starting group.
What is the Refund Policy?
Up and until 30 days before the commencement of the event, an admin fee of 10% will be levied.
29 Days until 15 days before the commencement of event, an admin fee of 20% will be levied.
No refunds will be made within 14 days of the commencement of the event.
Is the event a CSA Sanctioned event?
Yes, Rooibos MTB by Tiptrans is a CSA Sanctioned event.
Is the event Gravel bike friendly?
Yes, the routes are most definitely Gravel Bike friendly.

cancellations and refunds
On any cancellation by You in writing to the Event Organiser, refunds will be payable as follows:
- 90% of Entry Fee ≥ 30 days before the Event
- 80% of Entry Fee ≥ 15 days, ≤ 29 days before the Event
- 0% of Entry Fee ≤ 14 days before the Event
